What’s that Sound?
This activity is good for both younger and older children.
Beforehand Preparation
Obtain different recordings of sounds mentioned in the song, as well as other sounds that are similar. For instance if you have a bird sound, you could also use a cat meowing. If you use the sound of rain, you could also use the sound of thunder.
Activity
Ask the children to listen carefully to the sounds you will present to see if they can figure out what that sound is. Play each sound and receive the answer. Ask which of those sounds are in this song. Sing the song. Receive their answers.
